I see Swine flu mentioned all over the news media but I don't know if this variation of the flu is any different than the ordinary flu? Other than the fact that its a new strain, is it more dangerous? I don't think so but anyway I'm glad the public is being careful and safe. I'd like to share a funny swine flu graphic http://typobounty.com/Funny/Swine-Flu.htm

To answer your question about H1N1 in relation to seasonal influenza: all my research says they are equally dangerous. Anyone at risk for seasonal flu (pregnant women, children, HIV/AIDS patients, diabetics) should be equally careful of H1N1. Also, the symptoms present as the same: fever, chills, sweats, coughing/sneezing. The only way to tell if you have H1N1 is through a PCR test at a hospital or doctor's office.

That said, there is no seasonal flu activity in Cleveland at this time, so anyone with flu-like symptoms should follow H1N1 safety guidelines.
